The awards of the 2016 International Children’s Creative Art Exhibition were announced on September 11. On the same day, the “Art Education and Children’s Growth” seminar was also held successfully as a grand finale of the exhibition.

Discussion on Children’s Growth
Joined by experts and scholars from all circles of the society, this seminar focusing on art education and children’s growth has invited representatives from General Consulates, experts and scholars, professional art education institutions, parents as well as children. All participants expressed their own opinions based on their own fields.
Representatives from various fields has exchanged their ideas: Ms. Wang Xiuhong, President of Changning District Women’s Federation, delivered speech titled “Make Full Use of Group Advantage, and Promote International Children’s Art Exchanges”; Mrs. Szentmartoni Livia Ilona, Consul of Culture and Education of Hungary in Shanghai, delivered speech titled “The Effect of Consulate Generals in Children’s Art Exchanges”; Mr. Zhu Gang, Curator of Liu Haisu Art Museum, delivered speech titled “The Road to an Artist”.
Ms. Yao Xue, Office Manager of China Welfare Institute Publishing House, Mr. Wang Chao, representative of Outstanding Organization Award winner Tianyi Art Institute, Mr. Xiang Shang, father of Gold Award winning artist, and Gao Fengchang, student of Shanghai Tianshan No. 1 Primary School, have all shared their experiences in art education.
This exhibition has also published Hand in Hand with the World - 2016 International Children’s Creative Art Exhibition Collection, a bilingual collection from the exhibition by Shanghai Art Collection Museum and China Welfare Institute Publishing House. In the book donation event, students from Tianshan No. 1 Primary School have received the newly-published book from guests including Mr. Hu Muqing, Chief Editor, Ms. Niu Jinjin, Vice Chief Editor, Ms. Han Rong, Art Editor, Ms. Wen Guowei, Office Manager of Shanghai Children’s Foundation, Ms. Zhang Honglian, Secretary General, Ms. Xue Fei, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Education Development Foundation, Ms. Wang Ju, Secretary General of Changning District Education Foundation, Ms. Yao Xue, Office Manager of China Welfare Institute Publishing House.

The 2016 International Children’s Creative Art Exhibition has received great social response. This feast of children’s artworks consists of over 160 works selected from over 500 works applied by children from around China as well as around 20 countries including USA, Russia, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Hungary, Austria, Poland, Ireland, Singapore, Ukraine, Thailand, etc. It has been reported by multiple media from around China.
The expert judging panel has voted and picked 10 Gold Awards, 10 Silver Awards, 10 Bronze Awards, 10 Honorable Mentions, and 11 Outstanding Organization Awards. 3 Best Popularity Awards were voted by over 15,000 viewers online.
