Date:2021-10-09Video conference with Consulate General of Turkey, Middle East Technical University

On October 8th, Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey, Middle East Technical University (METU) and Shanghai Art Collection Museum held a video conference to discuss METU's planned accession to the International Network of Art and Science (INAS). Mr. Huseyin Emre Engin, Consul General of Turkey in Shanghai, Prof. Dr. Eren Kalay, advisor to Principal of METU, Mr. Hu Muqing, President of SACM and others attended the meeting.
 
Intl Network of Art and Science was established by Shanghai Art Collection Museum and other art and science organizations home and abroad. The Network aims to strengthen the cooperation and exchanges of experience in art and science popularization in various countries, having attracted more than 10 famous institutions from home and abroad.
Middle East Technical University is the only university from Turkey to make it to the top 500 of Webometrics 2021 Ranking of World Universities. Since its foundation, METU as an international research university has been the leading university in Turkey in terms of depth and breadth of international research projects and the amount of funds generated from research activities. 
 
METU Science and Technology Museum is a museum established within the campus of METU. The museum is aimed to present the modern technological tools as well as technological past of Turkey.
 
Consulate General of Turkey in Shanghai has rendered huge support to the INAS since the very beginning of its establishment and is one of the first Consulates General in Shanghai to sign the supporting letters for INAS.

In the future, SACM will further collaborate with METU in exhibitions,forums, publication and exchange of information.
Ms. Sevinc Doga Olmez from Consulate General of Turkey in Shanghai, Mr. ?lker Koç and Mr. ?lhami Bu?dayc? from METU Science and Technology Museum, Ms. Niu Jinjin from SACM and others attended the conference too.
