Exhibition Opening Ceremony Highlights




On June 8th, the opening ceremony of the 13th International Exhibition of Traditional Fine Arts was held in Shanghai Art Collection Museum.


Representatives and leaders from UNESCO Beijing Office, Consulate General of Japan, Iran, South Korea, Denmark, Venezuela, Hungary, Indonesia, Norway, Egypt and Slovakia, Cultural Department of Bratislava Region in Slovakia, Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Shosoin Office of the Imperial Household Agency of Japan, Indonesia Institute of the Arts in Yogyakarta, Savina Museum in South Korea, Armenian Chinese Partnership Center, etc participated in the event.

The exhibition is also held in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage and the 10th anniversary of the "Belt and Road" initiative.

This year's exhibition has received positive responses and strong support from the cultural authorities and consulates general in Shanghai of various countries. A total of more than 150 artists from 26 countries participated in the exhibition
