The Exhibition of Miniature Painting and Gongbi Painting opened at SACM

     


       Spring and scenery become bright, and everything shines with vitality. On March 24, 2026, the special exhibition "A Universe in Miniature: The Art of Brushstrokes in Miniature Painting and Gongbi Painting” grandly opened at the Shanghai Art Collection Museum. 


This exhibition is jointly organized by the Shanghai Art Collection Museum, the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Museum of Oriental Miniature Art named after Kamoliddin Bekhzod, Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan. It has received strong support from the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People's Republic of China, the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Shanghai, Shanghai Aosong Industrial Co., Ltd. (Indra Bonded E-commerce Service Co., Ltd.), and several other organizations.        The opening ceremony was grand and lively, with distinguished guests in attendance. Among the attendees were Wang Ronghua, Vice Chairman of the 10th Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; Gao Yun, Vice Chairperson of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress and Chairman of the Shanghai Education Development Foundation; Fu Jihong, Vice President of the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Zhang Qi, Executive President of the Shanghai Tourism Industry Association; Zhang Zhiqiao, Second-Level Inspector of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism; Wen Xinhua, Chairman of the Changning District Federation of Literary and Art Circles; Akmal Nuridinov, Artistic Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan; Charymyrat Yazmyradov, Chairman of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan; Rustam Ismailov, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai; Kutbiddin Ubaydullaev, Deputy Consul General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai; Dr. Gulabza Karshieva, Director of the Museum of Oriental Miniature Art named after Kamaliddin Bekhzod, Uzbekistan; Chen Kele, Director of the International Division of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism; Ge Yongming, Director of the Museum Division of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism; Yang Yan, Director of the Sports and Culture Division of the Shanghai International Culture Association; Wang Jing, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Shanghai Arts & Design Academy; Ding She, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Shanghai Artists Association; Shen Jie, Director of the Shanghai Art Research Center; and Hu Muqing, President of the organizing institution, Shanghai Art Collection Museum.Young guqin player Kong Fanfan performed 'Flowing Water' to begin the ceremony.Tea artist Zhang Wenhua performed a traditional Chinese tea ceremony on site.Host and President of Shanghai Art Collection Museum Hu Muqing gave welcome remarks.Akmal Nuridinov, Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan gave remarks.Charymyrat Yazmyradov, Chairman of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan gave remarks.Dr. Gulabza Karshieva, Director of the Museum of Oriental Miniature Art named after Kamaliddin Bekhzod, Uzbekistan gave remarks.Fu Jihong, Vice President of the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries gave remarks.Leading guests presented collection certificates to representatives of donating artists and letters of appreciation to participating institutions.


Chinese and foreign guests raised their tea cups to celebrate the successful opening of the exhibition. A souvenir exchange ceremony between the Chinese and foreign sides was also held.
