The 11th International Children's Creative Art Exhibition Opened

On July 23rd, the 11th International Children's Creative Art Exhibition and the 5th International (Shanghai) Children's Aesthetic Education Conference were successfully launched.

The exhibition was jointly organized by the Shanghai Children's Foundationand, the Shanghai Education Development Foundation, hosted by the Shanghai Art Collection Museumand, the Changning District Education Foundation, with support from the Office for Spiritual Civilization Development of Changning Districtand the Changning District Women's Federation.

Held under the theme Blue Planet in Children's Hand, the exhibition brings together outstanding children's artworks from around the world, encouraging young people to express their creativity while responding to global issues such as sustainable development, cultural diversity, environmental protection, and the future of humanity through artistic creation.

The opening ceremony brought together distinguished leaders, diplomats, experts, educators, artists, students, parents, and media representatives from China and abroad.

Among the guests attending the ceremony were Yang Dinghua, Former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th Shanghai Municipal People's Congress; Wang Ronghua, Former Vice Chairman of the 10th Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Gu Chengcong, Vice Chairwoman (Seconded) of the Shanghai Women's Federation; Pan Guoli, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changning District Committee and Head of the Publicity Department; Özlem Kural, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Shanghai; Yu Weixing, Vice Chairperson and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Children's Foundation; Wang Luning, Executive Vice Chairperson of the Fifth Council of the Shanghai Children's Foundation; Gu Min, Vice Chairperson and Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Women and Children's Welfare Foundation; Li Chunping, Executive Vice President of the Shanghai Association for International Exchange of Social Organizations; Wang Mingfu, Secretary of the CPC Branch of the Shanghai Education Development Foundation; Hu Muqing, President of the Shanghai Art Collection Museum and Chief Curator of the exhibition; Xia Limin, Vice Chairperson of the Changning District Education Foundation and Former Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Changning District People's Congress; Jiang Huifang, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Changning District Committee and Director of the District Information Office; Wang Huiying, Chairperson of the Changning District Women's Federation; John Francis S. Herrera, Consul of the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Shanghai; together with experts and scholars participating in the 5th International (Shanghai) Children's Aesthetic Education Conference, including Yang Yanna, Director of the Shanghai Children's Library; renowned painter Huang Azhong, Research Fellow of the Shanghai Research Institute of Culture and History; distinguished erhu performer Ma Xiaohui; and Fu Xiaoxiao, Director of the University of Manchester China Centre. More than one hundred Chinese and international guests, students, parents, and members of the media attended the opening ceremony.

Opening Ceremony Highlights

The opening ceremony began with a retrospective video celebrating the first ten editions of the International Children's Creative Art Invitational Exhibition.

Followed by vibrant performances by children from China and abroad.

Hu Muqing, President of the Shanghai Art Collection Museum, the hosting institution, and Chief Curator of the exhibition, introduced the background of the event.

Yu Weixing, Vice Chairperson and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Children's Foundation, delivered remarks on behalf of the organizing institutions.

Wang Mingfu, Secretary of the CPC Branch of the Shanghai Education Development Foundation, also addressed the audience.

Chinese and international guests presented exhibition certificates to representatives of the participating young artists.

Distinguished Chinese and international leaders and guests jointly inaugurated the 11th International Children's Creative Art Invitational Exhibitionand and the 5th International (Shanghai) Children's Aesthetic Education Conference.

After the opening ceremony, the 5th International (Shanghai) Children's Aesthetic Education Conference was held. Experts and scholars from various countries actively participated in the conference. A thematic report will be published.

Exhibition Display

Many guests visited the exhibition being guided by children, and highly appreciated the exhibition.

Chinese and international leaders and distinguished guests toured the exhibition with great interest.

Young volunteer docents guided the guests through the exhibition, introducing the featured artworks.

Among those attending the opening ceremony and conference were Wang Jin, Director of the Office of the Shanghai Children's Foundation; Xue Fei, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Education Development Foundation; Yang Xingyu, Director of the Brand Projects Department of the Jiangsu Women and Children's Welfare Foundation; He Fuzhong, Director of the Investment Promotion Department of the Shanxi Provincial Government Office in Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta Investment Promotion Bureau); Jeannie Petrola, Cultural Officer of the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Shanghai; Su Ying, Vice Chairperson of the Changning District Women's Federation; Chen Xiand Zhou Yafei, Deputy Directors of the Brand Projects Department of the Jiangsu Women and Children's Welfare Foundation; together with representatives from the Publicity Department of the CPC Changning District Committee, Tianshan Road Subdistrict, Xinhua Publishing Group Children's Book Fair, Beijing Tianyue International School, Shanghai Tianyi Primary School, as well as representatives from government agencies, educational institutions, youth organizations, and other organizations from China and abroad.
