As an experienced education expert who has served in Shanghai's education administration, universities, and education foundations, Mr. Wang Ronghua spoke highly of the achievements of the International Children's Creative Art Exhibition, which has been held for eleven consecutive years, and the International (Shanghai) Children's Aesthetic Education Conference, which has been held for five consecutive years.

He noted that aesthetic education is a long-term educational endeavor requiring continuous dedication and accumulation. It is essential to remain child-centered, work with perseverance and collaboration, and provide every child with opportunities to experience, express, and create beauty.

As a senior diplomat who previously served as Counsellor and Deputy Permanent Representative of the Turkish Mission to the United Nations Office at Geneva, and who is proficient in English and German, Consul General Kural emphasized that art education not only inspires wisdom and nurtures the mind, but also develops children's independent thinking, teamwork, and cross-cultural understanding. 

Drawing on Türkiye's rich artistic traditions and approaches to children's education, she highlighted that art is a shared language that transcends borders. Children are not only inheritors of cultural heritage, but also creators of future cultures.

Combining research on children's reading patterns in Shanghai's public libraries, Director Yang Yanna introduced the role of Shanghai Children's Library as an example and explained the unique contribution of libraries to children's aesthetic education from three perspectives: architectural space, documentary resources, and reading experiences.

Through practical cases, she proposed using reading as a guide and experience as a medium, enabling libraries to become important public cultural spaces where children can experience, explore, and create beauty.

Professor Huang Azhong, a renowned painter, explored how art appreciation and learning can enhance young people's aesthetic literacy from the perspectives of art history and art theory.

He noted that discovering beauty, understanding beauty, and creating beauty are not only qualities of professional artists, but also important abilities that help young people understand society, comprehend the world, and develop themselves.

As the erhu solo performer in the Academy Award-winning film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, renowned erhu artist Ms. Ma Xiaohui shared insights from her personal journey and emphasized that art not only provides aesthetic enjoyment, but also plays an important therapeutic role in supporting children's physical and mental well-being.

Using the traditional Chinese instrument erhu, known for its expressive tones that closely resemble the human voice and its ability to convey emotions, she performed representative pieces related to the traditional Chinese medicine concept of “five tones corresponding to five internal organs,” creating a unique immersive music therapy experience for the audience.

As a Philippine artist active in the international contemporary art scene, Ms. Moreno shared her experiences in cross-cultural art education based on her work as an artist and international art exchange practitioner.

She pointed out that art can transcend linguistic and cultural differences, cultivating creativity, psychological resilience, and social responsibility among young people. She expressed hope that international art cooperation could strengthen understanding and friendship among children from different countries.

As a member of the team awarded the Shanghai Municipal Teaching Achievement Special Prize, Ms. Lin Ling shared Tianshan No.1 Primary School's decade-long exploration of promoting innovation in aesthetic education through music education.

She presented the school's achievements in spatial development, curriculum design, and resource collaboration. She proposed that aesthetic education requires a supportive foundation, connection, and patience, and called for the development of “boundaryless aesthetic education” that extends from school curricula to families, communities, and society. She emphasized that aesthetic education is not decoration, but a necessity.
